Our Greatest Need: Now more than ever we look to the communities we serve to help us implement the vital expansion of our Emergency Room. Currently, St John’s has over 40,000 patient visits in an ER designed to accommodate 25,000 visits annually. While we have made many changes and improvements over the past few years our ability to truly do our very best work is challenged by the aging infrastructure and space limitations of our Emergency Department. As the demand for emergency services rises and the area becomes more congested, redesigning and tripling our space will dramatically improve our ability to care for our patients. In 2013 and 2014, we made progress toward our goal to raise funds for this major project but we still have a long way to go.
