Our Low Threshold Buprenorphine Program offers immediate intervention for those struggling with Opioid Use Disorder who come to our Emergency Department.

How the Program Works:

1. Assessment: Trained emergency room personnel will evaluate patients for Opioid Use Disorder

2. Immediate Treatment: If diagnosed, patients are offered Buprenorphine (Suboxone), a medication that:

  • Reduces painful withdrawal symptoms
  • Decreases uncontrollable cravings
  • Helps prevent relapse and exposure to dangerous substances like fentanyl

3. Seamless Transition to Ongoing Care: Specially trained counselors in our Emergency Department guide patients to quickly start outpatient treatment, ensuring continuous support.
