"Journey To Recovery" at St. John's Riverside Hospital
Yonkers, NY - St. John's is proud to sponsor the Free "Journey to Recovery" Breast Cancer Support Group. The group will meet on Tuesdays, June 1st and 15th from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Women's Health Center on the main floor of St. John's Andrus Pavilion, 967 North Broadway in Yonkers.
The "Journey to Recovery" support group is committed to helping women overcome breast cancer by providing emotional support and socialization, encouragement and information.
Discussion will include:
The individual's ability to cope and "be normal"
Living with cancer
Maintaining one's spirit
Physical and emotional impact of cancer
Loss of control
The importance of education, support and information
& much more.
Facilitators include Susan Gunser, MS, RN Clinical Nurse Specialist and Julie Buyon, MA, Patient Navigator at St. John's.
