In 2001, St. John's Riverside Hospital was the first and only hospital in Westchester to receive the prestigious national Ernest A. Codman Award for its breakthrough work in treatment of asthma.
 
St. John's was the first hospital in Westchester to deliver a baby and the first to deliver more than 100,000 babies.
