Associate Program Director (APD)
The Associate Program Director (APD) is involved in the daily clinical and educational oversight of the residency program and works closely with both the DIO and PD. The APD supports the PD in monitoring and implementing all educational and administrative policies. The APD's duties also include:
  • Serves as a mentor to the residents
  • Provides educational support to the house staff
  • Directly oversees the inpatient internal medicine teaching service
  • Serves as a member of the GMEC
