St. John’s Riverside Hospital is proud to announce that the First Internal Medicine Residency Program in the City of Yonkers has officially launched on July 1, 2016. The Residency Program was approved in February of this year by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) after a rigorous eighteen-month approval process.

Yonkers, NY (May 2015) —Today, Montefiore Health System and St. John’s Riverside Hospital have announced that they have formally signed an affiliation agreement. This new partnership will provide patients in Yonkers and Rivertown access to Montefiore’s proactive, community-based care, dedicated to working collaboratively with a focus on improving overall health outcomes. By building on St. John’s existing high quality of care, this partnership will increase the ability of physicians to provide more effective patient services through Montefiore’s innovative, integrated health system.

St. John’s Riverside Hospital – Andrus Pavilion will be holding its Annual Marty & Iris Walshin Memorial Golf Outing on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Knollwood Country Club; 200 Knollwood Extension; Elmsford,  N.Y.  The proceeds of this year’s outing will benefit the enhancement of the Emergency Room.

St. John’s Riverside Hospital for the second consecutive year is participating in the Chilly Hilly 5K Run/Walk.  This year’s run/walk on Saturday, October 19, 2013 will benefit the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center, a non-profit pediatric specialty nursing facility for medically fragile children with complex and diverse clinical conditions and disabilities.

 The Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) has granted Three-Year Accreditation to the Cancer Program at St. John’s Riverside Hospital.  “It is appreciated that the dedication of many individuals is recognized and it is important for our community to understand that quality cancer care can be given in a comfortable community hospital environment,” said Norman Rosen, M.D., Chief of Hematology/Oncology and Chairman of the Cancer Program Committee at St. John’s Riverside Hospital.
