Yonkers, July 2011 – St. John’s Riverside Hospital has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®–Stroke Bronze Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes St. John’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations.

First FDA-approved imaging agent of its kind in the United States

Yonkers, N.Y. – St. John’s Riverside Hospital is proud to announce the availability of DaTscan™, the first FDA-approved imaging agent to help physicians evaluate patients with suspected Parkinson’s disease (PD). DaTscan gives physicians the ability to diagnose in a more timely fashion that in turn may lead to a more appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
